Arnold Chamber of Commerce Annual Easter Egg Hunt

There was some stiff competition at the Arnold Chamber of Commerce’s annual Easter egg hunt. This free community event drew over 1,000 children to the Fox High School Campus, Saturday afternoon. Children lined up to participate for a chance to win bikes and prizes.
This event was jam packed with fun filled activities for the kids to participate in before the hunt began. They included pictures with the Easter bunny, seed planting, games, balloons, crafts, live rabbits and free food samples. The hunt was prompted by the sound of the siren, which was provided by the Arnold Police Department, Rock Township Ambulance District and the Rock Community Fire Protection District. Within a span of 3 minutes, 17,000 neon Easter eggs were plucked from the field by area children ages 1 to 10. The grand prize bike winners were Robert Arnold, Ashlyn Rothmich, Miles Wendel, Kameron Terry, Brendan Hampton, Olivia Strobel, Lucas Pisoni and Lexi Icenhower.
The hunt was generously sponsored by Arnold Dental Arts, Arnold License Office, Arnold Stove and Fireplace, Creative Expressions, Crystal Heating & Cooling Service, Eagle Bank, Fireworks City, First Bank, First Community State Bank, Fortune Bank, Fortune Bank Investment Services-Bob Gruenwald, Fox Chase Apartments, Govero Land Services, Great Clips, Living Well Village, Midwest Bank Centre, Missouri Natural Gas Company, PNC Bank, ProActive Chiropractic, Qdoba, Quick Cash, Richardson Place Apartments, The Bridge Community Church, The Goddard School, The House of Rabbit Society, Vogel Veterinary Hospital and Wal-mart.
A special thank you goes out to the Seckman A+ Students for stuffing all 17,000 eggs, Fox School District for allowing us to use their campus and the many volunteers and sponsors who made this event possible.
